History
The Center for Leadership in Education was established in 1992 as an independent non-profit organization, external to the school districts, commissioned to provide unbiased leadership in affecting systemic change in schools throughout the region. Since its formation, The Center has dedicated itself to improving the quality of education in the region through school restructuring and professional development initiatives for teachers and administrators. Today, The Center provides the resources to transform the way in which teaching, learning, and leading takes place in schools and their communities. Over the past 10 years, The Center has played a pivotal role in helping over 38 school districts and 76 school buildings understand and integrate the meaning of school restructuring and the new standards of quality performance.
